Polls to be held on time, reiterates Rana Tanveer

SHARAQPUR SHARIF (Dunya News) – Education Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain on Monday assailed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, saying that his party's "flawed policies" compelled the incumbent government to approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Speaking after the opening of the passport office, Mr Hussain asserted, "Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his team are hard at work developing policies that would allow the nation to say goodbye to the international lender".

Mr Hussain stated that the polls be held on time and that the PML-N will contest elections without alliance.

In reference to the Greece boat disaster, Mr Hussain said, "The Greece shipwreck incident is deplorable. To prevent illegal immigration, the government is tightening the noose around human smugglers".
